Our Jack Russell, Dexter, is a comical and athletic dog. He’s a brown and white wire haired terrier. Dexter is slim, has long legs and a muscular body. He has a docked tail that stands erect when something is attracting his attention. Dexter is an expressive dog, and he often makes me laugh. He’s mastered the art of giving you “puppy eyes” when he wants something he can’t have (food from the dinner table for example). Dexter loves to play tug of war, and he will bring you his toy when he wants to play. He’s a kind and gentle dog, but he does have a fierce growl and a loud bark. Dexter’s a great watchdog and will alert us when we have visitors. Most people think Jack Russell’s are hyper dogs, but Dexter is relatively laid back. Out of all the dogs we have had, Dexter is my favorite!
